Another vital use of diamonds is industrial due to there extremely hard properties they are used in cutting objects, oil industries, and tool manufacturing. most of the diamonds are industrial-grade diamonds unsuitable for gemstone wear few low-grade diamonds are polished for wearing purposes.

Diamonds are basically minerals, not rocks they have a specific chemical composition and crystal structure diamond formation needs specific conditions under high temperature and pressure carbon-containing fluid turns mineral into diamond natural diamonds are about 1 to 3.5 billion years old.

diamonds are first discovered in India then later Alexander the great brings the first diamond to Europe. the Chinese were the first nation to use nature of the gem and used it as a tool to cut other stones. diamond cutting was still very primitive it requires a huge investment latter when diamonds became a popular jeweler began experimenting with new ways to highlight the visual appeal and presentation of a diamond.

Jewish priest used diamonds to determine the innocence and guilt of someone accused of the crime the more truthful the person is the more diamond would sparkle placed before them if a person is guilty the diamond would appear dull and darken. The Hindus believed that they were created when bolts of lightning struck rocks. They even placed some in the eyes of some of their statues.

Koh-i-Noor diamond   

                     The Koh-i-Noor diamond also called the mountain of light weighed 106 carat which was once the world's largest diamonds mined in southern India the gem belonged  to many  rulers of India the diamond was first crafted on the peacock throne the Mughal throne of India it was believed that whoever owned that diamond could rule the world 

             At first, it was found in the memoirs of Mughal empire leader Babur Koh-i-Noor diamond passed through different owners and finally taken by Ahmad Shah the ruler of Afghanistan. when brits came to Punjab queen Elizabeth got it. it was believed that this diamond is cursed and could only be wear by women no men are allowed because of men owners of this diamond will face many misfortunes.   In 1937, the diamond was placed in the coronation crown that was designed for  Queen Elizabeth.

 The hope diamond is one of the worlds largest colored diamond popular for its vivid blue color in history those who considered themselves lucky enough to possess this diamond came in contact with failed marriages, death, addiction, poverty it is the most cursed diamond in the history.  The Hope Diamond came from India, probably from the Golconda area, which was one of the active diamond mining areas in the world at that time it appears blue in color due to the presence of boron impurities this stone exhibit intense phosphorescence when placed in a dark when exposed to ultraviolet light
